Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed the most relaxing few days at Poachers Pocket cottage for our babymoon. Gemma really has impeccable attention to detail - from the delicious welcome hamper packed with local goods, to the quality of the furnishings and linens, this all made for a really special stay. They were super quick and happy to answer our questions prior to travelling too. Would highly recommend!

We had the loveliest time at Poacher’s pocket! A great location to visit lots of different places in North Cornwall. Gemma’s little touches made our stay so magical. Treats and a lovely bed and blanket for our dog and baby and lots of yummy local food for us! It’s a beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Everything is sparkling and new! It was also one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in! Could not recommend any more

Such a relaxing stay

Poachers Pocket is the perfect hideaway. We loved the generous welcome hamper, the super comfortable bed and the cosy wood burner and had great fun exploring the Camel Trail by bike. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A blissful stay in a dreamy cottage

Gemma's cottage is absolutely wonderful! The decor is dreamy and brilliantly well-considered. Each of the thoughtful touches (like the record player, local soaps, amazing range of tea and coffee, old radio, the list is endless) were hugely comforting and perfect in every way. Big fans of the wood burner too! I believe we were the first to stay after lockdown and superb measures were taken for safety and cleanliness, hugely reassuring. Gemma was also super helpful and contactable. Would recommend to anyone! Please enjoy it as much as we did!

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay (and the decor!) We would love to welcome you back one day.

The Perfect Boutique Cottage

They say that all the best things come in small packages and the Poachers Pocket Cottage is the perfect example. We have recently returned from a 4 night stay in this wonderful cottage where the owners, Gemma and Paul, have thought of everything that a guest might need. From the superb welcome hamper which included everything needed for a 'Full English' as well as a bottle of local wine from the Camel Valley Winery, bread, jam and other treats to the array of teas and coffees and store-cupboard items needed if you choose to cook. A special mention should also go to the decor which is amazing as well as the additional items including a guitar and a record player. The list really could go on and on. We will certainly go back for another visit when circumstances allow. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your kind words! we are delighted that you had a lovely stay! We would be delighted to welcome you back one day.

A perfect getaway

Just returned from a four day stay at Poachers Pocket. This boutique cottage is the perfect getaway in a wonderful location. All the extras made it very welcoming, the wonderful hamper full of local produce as well as everything needed for a full English breakfast. We especially like the scones, cream and great strawberry jam that we could enjoy after our long drive followed by a local white wine. We loved the quality of the linen, towels and all the little extras we kept finding. Oscar our Golden Retriever was also very spoiled when he found he had some special treats as well as a new toy. Unfortunately the weather was bad so could not make use of the bike or do many walks; however we managed a visit to Padstow with a lovely lunch in one of Rick Stein’s restaurants on one day and a visit to Port Isaac with lunch at the Golden Lion on the following day. However as the cottage was so comfortable we relaxed catching up on some films on Netflix in the evening. A big thank you to Gemma for making the booking so easy as well as all the arrangements. We would love to come back in the future.

Thank you so much for you kind words Ariane! We would be delighted to welcome you back to Poachers Pocket one day - hopefully with some better weather next time.

We had the best few days away at Poachers pocket! Gemma was great at communicating throughout the booking process and during our stay which made everything so much easier and stress free! The cottage itself was beautiful- so quirky and cute! It had everything we needed for our stay including dogs beds, towels, bowls etc making packing a lot easier! We loved the bikes which allowed us to cycle along the camel trail and the welcome pack which gave lots of info on local things to do and beaches. Would definitely recommend this cottage to any couples with dogs who want a quiet relaxing break away! Thanks again!
