Hello!

We are Paul and Gemma, father and daughter team who own and run Poachers Pocket Cottage in Tredethy, North Cornwall.

Paul had a rather cool job back in the day - he was Sound Engineer for the likes of The Who, Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra and Elton John in the early 70's. He moved to Cornwall with my Mum in the late 70's after they fell in love with the dramatic Cornish coastline and wilderness of Bodmin moor. Paul's little touches to the cottage include an acoustic guitar, record player and sitar.

I was born right here in Cornwall...I grew up on Bodmin Moor and loved exploring the wild and rugged moorland on my doorstep. As an adult I lived and worked in London for 9 years as an Art Director for a fashion company before moving back to Cornwall after my son was born in 2015. I now work freelance and I am the Property Manager for Poachers Pocket Cottage. I designed all the interiors for Poachers Pocket (as well as painting a floor or two) and my Mum handmade the amazing macrame staircase in the cottage.

We work as a very small team here at Poachers Pocket. I myself deal with changeovers and every aspect of our Welcome Hampers, plus we have an amazing cleaner Amy, who makes sure everything is sparkling before your arrival.

We take pride in our attention to detail and personalised approach which is often missing when you book with large holiday companies.

We really look forward to welcoming you to our little cottage!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Gemma.
